We Want To Hear Your Weirdest CATA Bus Stories

With a campus the size of Penn State’s, a lot of students take advantage of the campus and local bus systems to make the commute to class or downtown a little more bearable. It normally only takes the first week or two of classes for you to figure out just which buses best meet your needs — you may even start to recognize some of the faces that have similar travel routes as you.

As we all know, these bus rides aren’t always filled with rainbows and sunshine. Some bus stops can look like it’s feeding time at the zoo during those class hours. Simple discomforts like overcrowding and being sneezed on by the student next to you are still unpleasant, but they are norms on the bus system. Those things aside, we want to hear your unusual, crazy, or out of the ordinary CATA bus stories.

As this school year comes to a close, think back on all of the bus trips you’ve taken this year. Crazy things can happen on a Friday night or even a Tuesday morning. Whether it’s a horror story or comedy, something that’s plain disgusting or just exceptionally weird, we want to hear it. Don’t be shy, we’re not here to judge.
