Penn State-Michigan White Out Matchup Tabbed For ABC’s Saturday Night Football

No. 3 Penn State’s chances of bringing College GameDay back to Happy Valley for the first time since 2009 became just a bit more likely.

It was announced Monday that the Nittany Lions will face off with No. 17 Michigan in the primetime 7:30 p.m. slot Saturday, October 21 on ABC. This will be Penn State’s fifth game on ABC this season and second appearance as the marquee matchup on Saturday Night Football.

This is the third time in the last four years that the White Out is done justice by a night game on national television.

Penn State is still waiting on the kickoff times for three more games this season — No. 21 Michigan State (November 4 in East Lansing), Nebraska (November 18 at Beaver Stadium), and Maryland (November 25 in College Park).

The Nittany Lions have a bye this Saturday, before hosting Michigan then traveling to No. 9 Ohio State on October 28 for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff aired on FOX. Penn State is also locked in for a noon kickoff on November 11 against Rutgers.

College GameDay’s selection for where it heads that weekend will likely be announced on Sunday.
