Beaver Stadium Sets New Attendance Record with 110,823

The White Out crowd was palpable on Saturday night in Beaver Stadium, but it wasn’t any ordinary crowd.

The announced attendance broke a long-standing record in Beaver Stadium’s illustrious history. 110,823 fans packed the stadium donned in white, setting a record that stood since September 14, 2002, when 110,753 packed the stadium to watch the Nittany Lions take on Nebraska.

The crowd created a type of energy fitting for its primetime platform — being watched by a national audience.

Saturday night’s attendance record was the second attendance record set during the 2017 season. 109,898 fans watched the Nittany Lions clobber Pitt in the second week of the season.
