Onward Investigates: What’s This Random Basketball Hoop Next To The THON Raffle

Sitting outside Portal 4 tucked away next to the THON raffle is this really random basketball hoop.

Since it’s pretty much attached to the THON raffle booth, you might assume that it’s part of it. Maybe it’s some type of boardwalk game to go with the raffle, which wouldn’t be a bad idea.

In reality, it’s just some strange feature of the Bryce Jordan Center that may (or well, the way Penn State basketball attendance usually looks, probably isn’t) used on basketball game days.

It might not be an actual part of THON, but if you want it to be, you can make it one.

“We don’t have a ball, but if you have a ball and want to play, go for it,” the THON Raffle attendant said.

If anyone’s trying to ball, hit me up.

Unfortunately, former editor Steve Connelly has graduated. Where is he now? He might be doing something related to that PR degree he got in 2019. Maybe he finally opened that sports bar named after one of his photos, the Blurry Zamboni. Or he might just be eating chicken tenders and couch surfing. Anything’s possible.
