Saquon Barkley Jersey Already NFL’s Top-Seller

Saquon Barkley has yet to play a down in the NFL, but his No. 26 is already the best-selling football jersey at DICK’S Sporting Goods.

The Giants rookie running back jumped over the likes of Carson Wentz, Ezekiel Elliott, and Dak Prescott, and Von Miller en route to the top spot on the list.

Barkley ranks seven spots ahead of the next rookie on the list for most jersey sales in the last month — former USC Trojan and current Jets quarterback Sam Darnold. Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield, the only player selected before Barkley in the draft, checks in at ninth on the list.

This comes as no surprise to fellow Giants’ superstar Odell Beckham Jr., who predicted Barkley have the most popular jersey in the country minutes after he was drafted…a year from now.

The No. 2 pick in the 2018 NFL Draft is generating a lot of hype entering his first professional season. ESPN currently lists him as the sixth-best fantasy football running back, and earlier this week, he made other news with ESPN as one of only 16 athletes to be featured in this year’s “Body Issue” by ESPN The Magazine.
