Penn State Football Freshmen Attend Class, Tell Whole World

Summer Session II is here, which means that James Franklin’s group of incoming freshmen are getting their first tastes of life at Penn State.

A big part of their new lives will center around going to class every day, sitting in the front, and tweeting that they’re going to class and sitting in the front row.

Franklin’s new players seem to have picked up on his standard of excellence for the program, showing up bright and early and sitting in the front row of their first-ever college classes.

Most, if not all, of the freshman class has shown off their great seats and punctuality on Twitter. We’d show you every single tweet from every single player, but believe it or not, scrolling through iPhone pictures of classrooms from the front row gets pretty boring.

Here are just a handful of freshmen showing off their new favorite habit:

Though excessive, showing up early certainly makes a strong statement and will come in handy when the fall semester starts and these freshmen have to fight for seats in Forum. We promise that “war in the trenches” will be far greater than anything they’ll see on the gridiron.

As you can tell, Franklin’s Twitter mentions have been flooded with shots from the great front-row seats that his student-athletes have managed to stumble upon.

With his mentions full of pictures from classrooms spread across campus, Franklin dealt with replying to everybody in the only way he knows how. Just as he does for birthdays and new recruits, he quickly came up with a copy-and-paste message of encouragement and sent it to each of his new players.

Never change, Coach.
