THON To Host Virtual 5K Run October 11

Penn Staters from across the world will have the option to virtually participate in THON’s annual 5K run on Sunday, October 11.

To register, all you’ll need to do is set up a THON DonorDrive account, find or create a team, and choose a fundraising goal.

While there is no specific registration fee this year, runners have the option to kickstart their fundraising goal and make a donation themselves.

Once the big day rolls around this fall, participants are encouraged to dress up, use wacky team names, and, most importantly, pledge their support to help Four Diamonds families. Runners are able to take part at “any time” and “any place” on October 11.

Additionally, participants can order a “Soar to Uncharted Destinations” 5K t-shirt or complete 5K Runner Box, which contains a slew of limited-edition THON gear, through THON’s online store. A portion of the items’ proceeds can be credited to an organization of choice at checkout.

This year, THON is offering a free 5K training calendar to help runners get in shape and prepare for the race. THON also created 5K course maps for popular cities, including Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Harrisburg, and even Houston.
