Penn State Wrestling’s Roman Bravo-Young Helps Fan In Need

Anyone who follows college wrestling knows Penn State wrestling’s Roman Bravo-Young means business on the mat. The All-American is one of the most electrifying wrestlers in the country. Hell, even cracking SportsCenter’s Top 10 plays isn’t hard for him.

Despite the accolades Bravo-Young has accomplished on the mat, it’s his actions off the mat that sets him apart. The junior makes sure to help out and give back to fans when he is able to.

Bravo-Young did just that Wednesday when he replied to a Twitter post with the caption “Hooked him up,” referring to the fan who had reached out to him for wrestling clothes. The young fan mentioned other kids on his team have made fun of him for wearing the same clothes to practice all the time.

Some folks on Twitter mentioned Bravo-Young’s actions could have changed this young wrestler’s life.

“Clothes don’t define a person,” Bravo-Young told the young fan.

It’s acts of kindness like this from Bravo-Young that will continue to help grow the wrestling community, especially in the tough times it’s facing during the pandemic.
