  • Thursday, October 15
  • Wednesday, October 21
  • Thursday, October 22
  • Monday, October 26
  • Thursday, October 29
  • Tuesday, November 10

The shot is available by appointment only. Students can make an appointment through myUHS and then fill out the necessary pre-arrival paperwork and insurance information.

Students are required to only bring their Penn State ID, as insurance cards must be uploaded beforehand. If you don’t have insurance, or if UHS doesn’t have your information on record, $25 will be billed to your Bursar account.

“The CDC believes that influenza viruses and the virus that causes COVID-19 will have concurrent spread during this fall and winter season,” said Valerie Fulton, infectious disease manager in University Health Services. “The symptoms of influenza viruses have a resemblance to symptoms of COVID-19, so the flu vaccine will be more important than ever this year. Influenza symptoms can keep you bedridden for a week or more. An annual flu vaccine is the best way to help protect you against getting an influenza infection.”

UHS and the CDC recommend that everyone six months and older receive a flu vaccine.
