James Franklin, Miles Sanders Encourage Pennsylvanians To Vote

James Franklin and Miles Sanders are teaming up with Pennsylvania sports figures to encourage citizens to vote this fall.

A new public service announcement, released by VotesPA.com, explains the simplicity of the mail-in voting process that will be utilized due to the coronavirus pandemic. Franklin and Sanders were joined by current players and coaches of other Pennsylvania teams, as well as legendary superstars, to explain the ease of the current voting process.

Franklin, who began the advertisement by announcing his pride for the state of Pennsylvania, was followed by a pair of Pittsburgh Steelers legends, Jerome Bettis and Mel Blount, in endorsing the new process. Veteran coach and Super Bowl XLII champion Mike Tomlin joined Franklin and the Philadelphia Eagles’ mascot, Swoop, as the only non-athletes to appear in the commercial.

Sanders appeared in the spot to explain the email updates voters will receive throughout the casting process. As a Pittsburgh native, Sanders is truly a byproduct of Pennsylvania. From Woodland Hills to Happy Valley to the City of Brotherly Love, Sanders has resided in several prominent regions across the state.

Pennsylvanians have until October 19 to register to vote and until October 27 to request an absentee ballot. Ballots in Pennsylvania must be cast by 8 p.m. on November 3.
