Meet Your 2020 Homecoming Court

Penn State Homecoming’s Executive Committee announced this year’s student, graduate, and university courts Friday afternoon.

Breaking tradition, Homecoming chose not to select a grand marshal or honorary grand marshal this year. Instead, the organization will feature an alumni panel of past grand marshals and honorary grand marshals on its social media platforms on October 14.

“Each court consists of individuals who are identified as well-rounded, spirited Penn Staters who embody each of Penn State’s six core values of: respect, integrity, responsibility, discovery, excellence, and community,” Homecoming said. ”Reviewers consider each applicant’s representation of the university’s core values.”

Without further ado, here’s everything you need to know about each member of Homecoming 2020’s courts. You’ll (virtually) see them when Homecoming 2020 kicks off on October 10.

In 2018, Homecoming removed gendered titles such as “Homecoming Queen and King” and took away the 1:1 ratio of male to female representation within the court. It said it made this change to embrace diversity and gender inclusivity within Penn State’s community.

In September, Homecoming moved its 2020 parade online due to the coronavirus pandemic. The festivities will include aa pre-recorded parade on Friday, October 16 as well as features and clips from alumni and community members.

Homecoming 2020 will run from Saturday, October 10 through Sunday, October 18.
