Tariq Castro-Fields Accepts Reese’s Senior Bowl Invite

Penn State football cornerback Tariq Castro-Fields will make the trip to Mobile, Alabama this year.

Castro-Fields officially accepted an invitation to the 2021 Reese’s Senior Bowl Monday morning.

He’s the second Nittany Lion to officially accept an invite this year, joining defensive end Shaka Toney. Last season, two Penn State football players — Robert Windsor and Cam Brown — took the trip to Mobile for the Senior Bowl.

Castro-Fields has started three out of the four games for Penn State this season. He’s totaled 12 tackles and one pass defended in his three starts.

Last year, Castro-Fields had his best season when he totaled 52 tackles, eight passes defended, and two interceptions en route to being named third-team All-Big Ten by the media.

Each year, the Senior Bowl gives college football prospects the chance to show off their skills in front of NFL front offices and coaches. This year’s game will kick off January 30, 2021 at Hancock Whitney Stadium.
