“WINEd” Up Your Holiday Shopping

With covid-related restrictions in place on many eating and drinking establishments in State College, it’s more important than ever to shop local this holiday season. Mount Nittany Vineyard & Winery, located just six miles from Penn State on the side of Mount Nittany, has several gift ideas for the Penn State wine lover – perfect for townies, alumni, parents, and students in the 21+ category!

The Mount Nittany Trio Gift Box ($48.95) is a perfect gift for the localvore – lover of all things Happy Valley. It contains a bottle each of three wines – Nittany Mountain White, Nittany Mount Blush, and Nittany Mounted Red – presented in a blue logo gift box and tied with a festive bow.

The Tailgater Gift Box is a great gift for the Penn State fan. It contains a bottle each of two of our most popular wines – Tailgate White and Tailgate Red – presented in a kraft gift box and tied with a festive bow.

The Proprietor’s Select Gift Box was designed with the wine connoisseur in mind. It contains a bottle each of two award-winning wines – our Chardonnay Reserve and Cabernet Sauvignon – presented in a kraft gift box with a wooden ornament gift tag.

Mount Nittany Winery also offers gift certificates (mailed or digital) and tour and tastings certificates – the gift of an “experience” is always appreciated! December pick-up specials include a “Pick Up 6 Bottles, Get a $15 Gift Certificate,” and “Pick Up 12 Bottles, Get a $25 Gift Certificate.” Both curbside pick-up and free Friday deliveries in central PA are available through the New Year.

Please note that once restrictions are lifted on indoor dining, wine flight tasting will be available in their newly-renovated Vintner’s Loft. This is a bright, sunny space with cozy fireplace and plenty of well-spaced indoor seating and outdoor seating.

So . . drink & shop local Penn State and Happy Holidays!
