Penn State Hockey Releases Phase II Of Schedule

After a successful Phase I campaign with no cancelled games due to the coronavirus, Penn State hockey has released Phase II of its schedule.

Phase II will begin with two away series starting January 3. The Nittany Lions will face Michigan State January 3 and 4, and then four days later will play against Ohio State January 8 and 9.

Three home series start against the Spartans January 15 and 16, Wisconsin January 21 and 22, and end with a contest against Notre Dame January 28 and 29. The Nittany Lions leave Pegula Ice Arena for one away game before home games resume against Michigan February 3 and 4.

Home games resume February 12 and 13 against the Buckeyes. The Nittany Lions face Arizona State in a series February 20 and 21, and follow it with the final home series of Phase II against the Gophers February 26 and 27.

The last series of Phase II is a trip to Notre Dame for games on March 5 and 6.

The Nittany Lions started Phase I with a rocky start, losing the first five of eight games. However, things started to look up for the Penn State with a 9-5 win against Michigan. Guy Gadowsky’s squad continued the momentum and followed the first win of the season with a sweep against the Sun Devils, winning 3-2 in the first game of the series and 5-4 the second.
