Report: Former Penn State Hoops Star Tim Frazier Signs With Memphis Grizzlies

Former Penn State men’s basketball superstar Tim Frazier is back in the Association for the first time since February of 2020.

The Memphis Grizzlies signed the veteran guard via hardship exception in a deal, as first reported by The Athletic on Monday afternoon.

As a reserve for the Detroit Pistons a season ago, Frazier carved out a solid role backing up Killian Hayes and Derrick Rose at point guard. In 27 games, Frazier averaged 3.6 points and 3.4 assists per contest. The veteran also started 11 games during his tenure in the Motor City.

After beginning his professional career in the NBA Developmental League, Frazier has been on an NBA roster each year since 2015. His next stint with the Grizzlies will be his seventh team in the same amount of seasons.
