Report: Penn State Football’s Micah Bowens Enters Transfer Portal

Penn State football quarterback Micah Bowens has reportedly entered the NCAA’s transfer portal after spending just one year in Happy Valley, according to Rivals.

The Las Vegas native redshirted his freshman year and did not see any action on the field. He was recruited to the class of 2020 by Ricky Rahne as a three-star dual-threat quarterback.

Bowens entered a very crowded quarterback room in Happy Valley. Sean Clifford, Will Levis, Ta’Quan Roberson, and Mason Stahl were all on the 2020 roster, while highly touted recruits like Christian Veilleux will soon join the squad.

The quarterback received 13 total offers as a recruit, including looks from Arizona, BYU, Oregon, Mississippi, and others. He was originally projected to commit to Arizona, which is closer to home, but chose Penn State instead. He’ll have all four years of eligibility remaining when he transfers.
