Podward State: Season 4, Episode 1

At long last, Onward State’s premier podcast is back following a restful winter break. This week, we’ll discuss Penn State basketball’s tumultuous season, wrap up a strange year for Penn State football, and more.

Joining hosts Matthew Ogden, Matthew Paolizzi, and Samuel Brungo this week is staff writer and Owen Abbey, who discusses Penn State basketball’s 3-5 start, its recent battles with the coronavirus, and what the Nittany Lions will need to do to survive a tough upcoming schedule.

Next, social media manager Ryan Parsons joins the show to wrap up Penn State football’s season, including its four-game winning streak to close the campaign and decision to skip a bowl game.

Later, Parsons talked about several changes to the program, including replacing offensive coordinator Kirk Ciarocca with Mike Yurcich and a handful of transfers and draft declarations.

Finally, we bid farewell to Podward State co-founder Matt Ogden, who graduated this past December.

Podward State will release weekly episodes this spring on Spotify and YouTube. Each will feature discussions about all things Penn State, including sports, news, student life, and entertainment, and more.
