Penn State Hoops Adds January 27 Matchup With No. 15 Ohio State

Editor’s Note: Following this post’s publication Sunday, Ohio State rose to No. 13 in the Associated Press’s Top 25 Poll.

Penn State men’s basketball will now travel to Columbus to take on No. 15 Ohio State on Wednesday, January 27, the team announced Sunday afternoon.

The game will tip off at 7 p.m. and be televised on the Big Ten Network.

Penn State previously planned on facing No. 7 Michigan that night, but a university-wide athletics pause for the Wolverines derailed that matchup.

The Nittany Lions’ matchup with Ohio State was previously postponed due to positive COVID-19 tests within Penn State’s program.

Penn State (5-6, 2-5 Big Ten) is coming off two straight wins over Rutgers and Northwestern. A third straight victory over the nationally-ranked Buckeyes would bring them to .500 for the first time since December 23.
