Berkey Creamery Extends Weekly Hours

Following nearly an entire year of closures or very limited hours, the Berkey Creamery will open its doors to customers on the weekends again.

The Creamery announced Monday that its new hours are from noon to 6 p.m. every day of the week. Previously, it was open only Monday through Friday.

However, the Creamery will still not be serving cones, bowls, milkshakes, or floats to keep person-to-person contact to a minimum. A full list of reopening guidelines on its website details all the COVID-19 protocols that need to be followed to ensure that these extended hours are here to stay.

Both employees and visitors must wear a face mask to enter the store and follow the stickers on the floor that indicate proper social distances. Additionally, customers are strongly encouraged to make their purchases as quickly as possible. Guests are asked to not use the tables and chairs outside of the store.

If you aren’t near University Park but still crave a pint of Alumni Swirl, you can order ice cream and other Creamery products to be shipped to your home. Curbside pickup is also available for customers.
