Quarantine & Isolation Dorms Added To Penn State Eats Ordering
The quarantine experience at Eastview Terrace has vastly improved since the first weeks of the fall semester.
Originally, when admitted to quarantine, students were provided with three meals per day with little to no entertainment opportunities. One of our staffers even wrote about her experience during this rough beginning.
In the latest upgrade to the Eastview Terrace quarantine experience, Penn State Housing and Food Services has created an online portal so that students can order snacks and everyday convenience store items through the Penn State Eats app.
Students can order pre-packaged food, frozen entrees, Penn State Bakery treats, and even Berkey Creamery ice cream (when available). Toiletries and school supplies are available to purchase, too.
Access to this feature is just like ordering from any other Penn State Eats location on campus, and students can pay (and get a discount) using campus meal plan dollars. They’re also able to use LionCash.
The new online portal is available from 7 a.m. to 12 a.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 12 a.m on Saturdays and Sundays.
In the past few months, the university has also started to provide snacks to the students as well as Zoom entertainment on various nights of the week. A concierge service of sorts became available at the Brill Hall desk so friends of quarantined students could send items to their pals or quarantined students themselves could order food from outside restaurants and have it delivered there.
