Advocate Penn State Capital Day Speaker Registration Now Open

Penn State’s Capital Day is going virtual this year, folks.

Capital Day is one of Penn State’s largest advocacy events and will take place virtually on Thursday, March 25. Advocate Penn State is still looking for student speakers to submit their applications by 11:59 p.m. on Monday, March 5.

Capital Day has been around since 2001 and usually sends any student who is registered to Harrisburg free of charge. The event gives the Penn State community the opportunity to talk with Pennsylvania legislators and officials and network with alumni.

Anyone can attend Capital Day this year due to the virtual format, and no registration is needed. Students, staff, alumni, and parents are encouraged to attend the event so they can hear from Penn State President Eric Barron, student speakers, and elected officials.

Instead of speaking in-person, students can submit videos that will be posted on various social media platforms. Students are encouraged to apply so they can share their Penn State stories.

Those interested in being a student speaker should apply before the March 5 deadline.
