Lamar Stevens Slams Game-Winning Dunk For Cleveland Cavaliers

Lamar Stevens is getting it done at the next level, folks.

The former Penn State men’s basketball star slammed home a game-winning dunk in the final seconds to give the Cavaliers a 112-111 win over the Atlanta Hawks.

Cavs point guard Collin Sexton passed Stevens the ball, and the Nittany Lion legend drove straight to the hoop and converted the dunk. The clutch play helped Cleveland snap an atrocious 10-game losing streak.

Stevens played 16 minutes in the thrilling victory, totaling eight points, four rebounds, two assists, and two steals. He shot an efficient 80% from the field and was a +12 when on the court, which means the Cavs outscored the Hawks by 12 points when Stevens was on the court.

To the surprise of many, Stevens has carved out an important role for the Cavs early on in his career. Recently, Stevens has played 14 or more minutes in six out of his last seven games.

Overall, Stevens is averaging 4.3 points, 2.6 rebounds, and one assist per game this season. After coming into the league as an undrafted free agent, Stevens has turned heads early with his impressive play and has earned meaningful minutes, which is tough to do as an undrafted rookie.
