2021 TEDxPSU Conference To Begin Virtually March 6

This year’s 11th annual TEDxPSU conference will begin virtually at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 6.

An affiliate of the company that organizes the famous TED talks which we all know and love, TEDx is locally organized and primarily run by PSU students. Students aim to bring “innovative and thought-provoking individuals from the Penn State community and the world.”

This year’s conference will feature 11 different speakers who will deliver presentations related to this year’s theme, “Time to Pause.” The curators of this event said that this theme will allow viewers and speakers alike to “reflect on new ideas [and] encourage new perspectives” in an era where our lives are usually nothing but busy.

Speakers include the current student government president of State College Area High School and an environmentalist who prompted Indonesia’s government to clean the world’s most polluted river. Biographies of all 11 speakers can be found here.

The event is entirely free for all viewers. To watch the conference on March 6, you can visit the TEDxPSU website.
