Remote Innovation Grant Applications Open For Summer 2021

Applications for remote innovation grants through Penn State’s Student Engagement Network are now open for summer 2021. The gifts annually provide funding for both remote and in-person undergraduate engagement experiences for students.

Recipients will get either $1,000 or $2,000 to complete their experience during summer 2021 and need to participate in an online Canvas course that will center around their engagement project.

The Canvas course isn’t credit-bearing, and students receiving the grant won’t be charged. Students will also work alongside a Penn State engagement coach who will assist them in the completion of their summer experience.

Types of projects accepted include undergraduate research, professional experiences, community-based learning, creative accomplishments, among many others.

Any Penn State student is encouraged to apply. Projects need to follow the federal, state, local, and University COVID-19 safety policies. A total of $90,000 will be awarded in summer 2021 for grants.

The application closes at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, March 21. Grants will be awarded by the week of April 5, and all experiences must be completed by August 15, 2021.
