Report: Penn State Hoops’ Seth Lundy Enters Transfer Portal

Yes, another one, folks.

Penn State men’s basketball’s Seth Lundy is reportedly entering the NCAA transfer portal, according to 247Sports. Lundy is already the sixth Nittany Lion to purportedly enter the portal this week.

Lundy just wrapped up his second season in Happy Valley after making a legitimate impact as a true freshman. He split time between the starting lineup and a bench role and averaged 10.1 points and 4.2 rebounds per game while playing 23.8 minutes a game.

Despite struggling a bit from three-point range this season, Lundy was still looked upon as one of Penn State’s better outside shooters. He shot a superb 39% from downtown during his true freshman season.

Lundy erupted in Penn State’s final regular-season game of the 2020-21 season in a 66-61 win over Maryland. During that game, he scored 31 points, shot 61% from the field, and hauled in eight rebounds in 29 minutes played. He knocked down five threes in the contest, too.

The forward came to Penn State in 2019 as a three-star recruit from Roman Catholic High School in Philadelphia. He chose the Nittany Lions over other schools like UConn, Georgetown, and Florida.

John Harrar, Jamari Wheeler, Myreon Jones, Trent Buttrick, and Izaiah Brockington are the five other Penn State men’s basketball players who reportedly entered the portal earlier in the day.
