Iowa Fans Lose It Over Penn State Wrestling’s ‘Well-Coached’ Champions

Even though Iowa locked up its first national title since 2010 Saturday afternoon, Hawkeyes fans aren’t taking a few NCAA Championships finals losses lightly.

Iowa’s followers quickly took to Twitter Saturday night to sound off on the team’s poor social media manager after Penn State crowned four national champions, including Carter Starocci, who took the 174-pound title over Iowa’s No. 1-ranked Michael Kemerer.

A number of Iowa fans praised Penn State’s poise behind head coach Cael Sanderson, who undoubtedly built a dynasty after winning eight NCAA titles in the last 10 tournaments.

Conversely, some fans felt Iowa didn’t coach enough or make the necessary adjustments since the Big Ten Championships earlier this month.
