Penn State Women’s Volleyball-Wisconsin Series Mutually Canceled

Penn State women’s volleyball and No. 1 Wisconsin have mutually agreed to cancel their upcoming series “out of an abundance of caution” surrounding the health and safety of both programs.

The cancellation’s cause was not immediately made clear, although it appears to be linked to COVID-19 in one way or another. Although Penn State declined to elaborate further, Wisconsin alleged the cancellation stemmed from COVID-19 concerns within the Nittany Lions’ program.

The series, with matches scheduled for 9 p.m. on Friday, March 26, and 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 27, will not be rescheduled.

The No. 11 Nittany Lions (9-5) will now end their regular season with a two-match road trip to Nebraska on Thursday, April 1, and Friday, April 2. Both matches against the No. 5 Cornhuskers will kick off at 9 p.m.
