Podward State: Season 4, Episode 13 Ft. Paul Clifford

On the latest episode of Podward State, hosts Matthew Paolizzi, Samuel Brungo, and Grace Cunningham are joined by associate producer Jordan Mansberger and Penn State Alumni Association CEO Paul Clifford.

Clifford starts the episode by telling the story of how he went from a bachelor’s in history to becoming an “alumni advancement guru.” He also discusses how that led him to his current position as the CEO of the world’s largest alumni association.

After being at a number of different universities throughout his career, Clifford reflects on some of the best moments and takeaways from those experiences. He also pinpoints some of the differences that set Penn State apart from the rest of the pack.

Growing up in a Penn State family, Clifford reflects on his favorite memories the university has brought to him throughout his life and throughout the six years he has been here.

Noting the Penn State Alumni Association encompasses more than just graduates, Clifford provides us some insight into what the organization entails and what it offers to its members.

Finally, Clifford gives advice to current students and provides information on how to get involved with the Alumni Association.

Podward State is an Onward State-produced podcast that will release weekly episodes this spring on Spotify and YouTube. Each will feature discussions about all things Penn State, including sports, news, student life, and entertainment, and more.
