Penn State Softball-Michigan State Series Postponed Due To Positive COVID-19 Tests
Penn State softball will have to wait at least a week longer to get back on the field.
Its upcoming series against Michigan State has been postponed due to positive COVID-19 tests among Penn State’s Tier 1 personnel, the team announced Thursday morning.
The two teams will try to reschedule the series, however neither team has an off weekend until the end of the season in mid-May. It’s currently unclear if any new dates for the series have been agreed upon.
This isn’t the first time a Penn State game has been postponed this season. The final game of its series against Ohio State two weeks ago was canceled “out of an abundance of caution.”
The Nittany Lions are coming off of their first series win of the season against Rutgers. They will have to wait a little bit longer to build off of that momentum to keep winning, however. With the Michigan State series canceled, Penn State is next scheduled to take on Maryland in College Park for a series starting on Friday, April 23.
