Pat Freiermuth Takes Over NFL Instagram Story Ahead Of Draft
Former Penn State football tight end Pat Freiermuth took over the NFL’s Instagram story Saturday. The highly touted prospect broadcasted a day in his life prepping for the NFL Draft.
“I’m just going to show you what it’s like on a day-to-day basis in my life preparing for the NFL Draft,” Freiermuth said in his first of six stories.
Freiermuth started off his day with a healthy breakfast of three eggs, mango, and an English muffin, before going to his running workout at Holuba Hall.
After his workout, Freiermuth headed to a recovery session.
“And for the rest of the day, I’m just going to be finishing up some meetings with some teams over Zoom and then I’m just going to enjoy my weekend and relax,” Freiermuth said.
“Thank you guys for tuning in, and thank you to the fans for seeing what I do on a day-to-day basis as I get ready for my draft experience. I can’t wait to see which city I end up in next,” Freiermuth said in his final clip.
The former two-time team captain finished his career at Penn State holding the record for career touchdown receptions by a tight end with 16. He is tied eighth all-time for touchdown receptions at any position with O.J. McDuffie, and tallied 1,185 career receiving yards to rank 26th overall and third among tight ends in Penn State football history.
The 2021 NFL Draft will be held in Cleveland and begins at 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 29. The final round will finish up on Saturday, May 1, but Freiermuth is expected by many to be an early-round pick, and could hear his name called as soon as Friday night.
