FlooringCo. Wins Movin On’ 2021’s Battle Of The Bands

This year, six local music groups competed for the opportunity to perform at Movin’ On 2021, but only one band could come out on top.

Indie/alternative band FlooringCo. will open at Movin’ On’s virtual event on Friday, April 30, after winning the festival’s online battle of the bands competition over the weekend.

The band is composed of four friends — Marty, Jon, Sam, and Karsen. FlooringCo. has music available for public listening on platforms like Apple Music and Spotify, where it has close to 10,000 monthly listeners and one single, “Suburban Psycho,” with almost 20,000 plays.

FlooringCo., while creating and releasing its own music, also covers popular indie rock and alternative rock music.

This year’s Movin’ On festival will be livestreamed through Zoom and produced by WPSU Radio. It will kick off on Friday, April 30, to commemorate the last day of classes for the spring semester.

Movin’ On’s full lineup has yet to be announced.
