‘We Are Weekend’ Registration Now Open

Registration for the Penn State Alumni Association’s annual “We Are Weekend” is now open.

The event will be held entirely online from June 14 to 18. Each opportunity is free and open to all Penn Staters.

Activities largely feature family-friendly fun events along with educational lectures and virtual tours of campus. The schedule includes a variety of offerings, including a family paint night, a virtual tour of the University Park campus, and “Chocolate 101: The History, Science & Art of Chocolate.”

The Alumni Association will also celebrate the classes of 1970 and 1971 as it inducts members into the association as “pioneers.”

In years past, festivities were held in-person at the University Park campus and downtown State College over a single weekend. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Alumni Association is holding virtual events throughout the week to offer more options that better fit the schedules of potential participants.

Penn Staters are encouraged to save the date for the events and invite their family and friends to enjoy the events with them. Attendees can also see who else will be logging on for the events to potentially reconnect with an old classmate. More information on the weekend, or its events, can be found on the Alumni Association’s official website.
