Penn State Performing Arts Council, Homecoming To Host Spring Showcase

Penn State’s Performing Arts Council will host its annual spring showcase at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 29. The event, sponsored by Penn State Homecoming, will be streamed online and available to see in person, too.

Anyone interested in attending the in-person viewing can RSVP using this Google Form or use this link to livestream the showcase from the Performing Arts Council’s YouTube channel.

The in-person viewing option at 129 Alumni Hall will follow all university and local guidelines with social distancing and masks required. The event is limited to a capacity of 100 people, and the deadline to RSVP is at midnight on Wednesday, April 28.

“After a year off, we are so excited to get to showcase the amazing performances of some of the University Park’s most talented groups.” Brian Krall, president-elect of the Performing Arts Council, said in a release.

The groups performing are Volé, Penn State Dance Company, Urban Dance Troupe, Blue in the FACE, Rêve Dance Company, Derby: A Women’s Comedy Troupe, Second Floor Stand-Up, Savoir Faire, Society for Indian Music and Arts, K-Pop Music and Dance, No Refund Theatre, and Nritya.

“Penn State Homecoming is so excited to be partnering with PAC and continue our relationship with them,” Bridget Hartshorne, talent relations director of Penn State Homecoming and current president of the Performing Arts Council, said in a release. “They have so many talented groups that were able to get performances together for this event, and we are so excited to share them.”
