The Class Of 2021’s Best Graduation Cap Designs

Last week, we asked you to send us your most creative graduation cap designs. It’s no surprise that many 2021 grads had some pretty killer caps.

Submitted caps covered everything from sparkles and inspirational quotes to Old Main silhouettes and lines from the Alma Mater. Whether you’re about to receive an art degree or simply got crafty one afternoon, your cap designs certainly did not disappoint.

We compiled some of our favorite submissions below:

Cissy Ming

Ming wanted to spotlight Penn State’s geosciences program because it shaped her academic journey. The program even inspired Ming to pursue graduate school!

Judy Rodriguez

Rodriguez’s cap reads, “She leaves a little sparkle wherever she goes.” Rodriguez said she always tries to go the extra mile to add some sparkle into the lives of those around her, so her cap design truly characterizes her personality.

Alex Squatrito

Squatrito is graduating as an early childhood education major, so she wanted to incorporate her inner-teacher into her cap design. She also commemorated her grandparents by adding photos of them to the tassel. How sweet!

Lauren Metikosh

Metikosh is graduating as a kinesiology major, so the heartbeat in her cap represents the clinical aspect of the major, and the barbell represents the fitness aspect. She was also recently certified in barbell rehabilitation, so the design holds an extra special place in her heart.

Kendall Sobczak

Sobczak says that Penn State has always been her dream school, so she wanted her cap to reflect her love for Happy Valley. We are!

Ally Bythell

“For the Glory,” is Blythell’s favorite line in the Alma Mater, so she knew she had to incorporate it into her cap design. She even got a cool shot of her cap in Beaver Stadium!
