Nine Penn State Women’s Volleyball Matches Headed To National TV
It certainly won’t be tough to catch Penn State women’s volleyball on TV this fall.
Nine of the Nittany Lions’ upcoming matches will appear on national TV, according to the Big Ten’s recently revealed broadcast schedule. A record 53 Big Ten volleyball matches will be broadcast nationally.
Penn State’s October 17 matchup at Purdue is set to appear on ESPN2. The remaining eight, including huge face-offs against Nebraska, Wisconsin, and Minnesota, will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network.
Every match that isn’t available on national TV will stream on BTN+, the Big Ten Network’s streaming service.

Penn State’s season begins with a road trip to Florida for the UCF Tournament. The Nittany Lions face Georgia Tech and Saint John’s on Friday, August 27, to kick off their season.
Penn State’s been pretty busy so far this offseason. The team picked up two huge transfers — Maryland’s Erika Pritchard and Minnesota’s Adanna Rollins — to bolster an already-strong lineup of outside hitters. Penn State also picked up a commitment from former TCU middle blocker and right-side/opposite hitter Katie Clark.
The Nittany Lions’ presence at the net will be undoubtedly weakened now that middle blocker Serena Gray has left the team and transferred to Pitt, though.
Penn State went 9-5 in this spring’s regular season and fell in the second round of the NCAA Tournament to No. 4 seed Texas, which wound up falling to Kentucky in the national title match.
