The block party will include a welcome greeting from State College Mayor Ron Filippelli and performances by the Lionettes and the Penn State Glee Club.

Special guests like former Penn State linebacker Brandon Short, men’s basketball coach Micah Shrewsberry, and women’s basketball coach Carolyn Kieger will make appearances, too.

Block party attendees can get a photo with the Nittany Lion if they choose to stick around after the event. Additionally, folks are encouraged to grab dinner downtown and check out the Calder WalkWay Lighting Experience at dusk.
