White Loop Service To Return Starting August 21
Following a year-long hiatus, a campus icon is (almost) back in action.
Penn State Transportation Services and the Centre Area Transportation Authority (CATA) will officially reinstate the White Loop starting Saturday, August 21, the university announced Tuesday. It’ll run as late as 2:30 a.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights.
After shutting down several stops and loops due to the pandemic last year, CATA is bringing most services back online this fall. In addition to the Blue Loop and Red Link, the Green Link will come back online on Monday, August 23.
Although the Blue Loop returned last October, the White Loop mysteriously remained offline. It’s a shame, considering it’s beloved by countless Penn State students.
Penn State’s Campus Shuttle via Beaver Avenue begins fall semester service on August 23, too. As you’d imagine, it runs opposite College Avenue’s shuttle and services 16 stops every 20 minutes from 7:15 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
More information on CATA’s upcoming transportation schedule is available online.
