Penn State Men’s Soccer’s Danny Bloyou & Pierre Reedy Named To MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List
Two Penn State men’s soccer attackers were placed on the MAC Hermann Trophy watch list for the 2021 season on Thursday.
Seniors Danny Bloyou and Pierre Reedy are two of 44 players nationwide to be recognized.
Bloyou, who will begin his second campaign in Happy Valley following his transfer from Old Dominion, scored 11 goals in 13 appearances for Penn State last spring.
The striker doesn’t have height on his side, but the 5’8″ Ghanian’s speed acclimated him well to the Big Ten in his first year. Bloyou earned All-Big Ten first-team honors in the spring, and is a player to watch for the conference’s Golden Boot race this year.
Meanwhile, Reedy returns to Penn State for his fifth season, his second as a team captain. Playing primarily on the wing, Reedy was arguably the team’s best player during the stretch of the spring season, including the NCAA Tournament run that ended in the Sweet Sixteen.
Both Reedy and Bloyou will be integral members of Jeff Cook’s squad, which kicks its season off Thursday against George Mason at 7 p.m. at Jeffrey Field.
