Applications For Penn State’s International Student Pen Pal Program Now Open

Applications for the Penn State Pals Program are now open for both mentors and mentees.

The program pairs incoming international students with current Penn State students to help them get acquainted with the university and the United States before arriving on campus. Mentors and mentees can discuss a number of topics like college life, classes, finances, sports and athletics, downtown life, and more.

The program aims to help incoming students to build strong friendships with students on campus and ensure they have the support they need to succeed both personally and professionally.

Mentor and mentees are expected to follow the program guidelines, communicate weekly, and participate in bonding activities. If participants meet in person, they are required to abide by COVID-19 social distancing and health guidelines.
