University Health Services To Host Two Flu Shot Clinics

Well, it’s that time of year. Not only do we need to worry about COVID-19, but it’s now flu season, too. Thankfully, Penn State’s University Health Services has our backs.

UHS will host two flu vaccination clinics for students this fall in the HUB. Thursday, September 30’s clinic will be held in Heritage Hall, while the other clinic is scheduled for October 25 in Alumni Hall.

Students must use myUHS to schedule a vaccination appointment any time from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the designated clinic days. This year, walk-ins won’t be accepted.

Students are only required to bring their Penn State IDs to the clinic. Before attending their appointment, students should upload their health insurance to myUHS. If they don’t have this information or don’t have health insurance, Penn State will bill $25 to your Bursar account.

“Per the CDC, flu vaccination is the best way to safeguard yourself, your friends, and your family members against flu and its potentially serious complications,” said Valerie Fulton. UHS’s infectious disease manager.

Currently, all time slots for the September 30 clinic appear to be full. However, appointments for October 25’s clinic appear wide open.
