Nittany Lion Jersey Swaps Continue In Week Three Of NFL Season

Everyone knows Penn State connections are stronger than anything, but perhaps no one knows this better than some Nittany Lions in the NFL these days.

Baltimore Ravens practice squad quarterback Trace McSorley met up with two of his former Penn State teammates — fullback Jason Cabinda and cornerback Amani Oruwariye — Sunday afternoon to catch up and swap some threads.

Oruwariye posted four total tackles and a timely interception, but his stat line wasn’t enough to put Detroit on top of Baltimore. Cabinda contributed a tackle himself, while McSorley didn’t play.

Another Penn State jersey swap took place following Monday Night Football between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys.

After the game, running back Miles Sanders and linebacker Micah Parsons caught up and swapped jerseys. The former teammates are now among the best players on their teams in the NFC East.

Parsons’ all-around solid effort helped Dallas top Philadelphia 41-21. The rookie linebacker posted four total tackles, half a sack, a tackle for a loss, and a pass deflection. Sanders, meanwhile, totaled 55 yards from scrimmage but was hardly used.

Sanders and Parsons will meet again when the Cowboys and Eagles rematch in Philadelphia on January 9.
