Three-Star Cornerback Jordan Allen Decommits From Penn State

Penn State’s 2022 recruiting class got a bit smaller when three-star cornerback Jordan Allen announced his decommitment from the program Monday morning.

“After careful thought and consideration, I have decided to re-open my recruiting journey,” Allen wrote. “This was a very personal choice.”

Allen’s decision comes following a visit to Ole Miss on October 22, according to 247Sports, meaning it is unlikely that Penn State’s ugly loss to Illinois influenced his decision.

Allen, a Lafayette, Louisiana product, has been heavily recruited with offers from 41 schools. He visited Penn State for the White Out on September 18 and has also visited Louisville and Miami. Allen has received offers from several Big Ten schools as well as offers from many southern schools, too.

Although Allen is no longer committed to the Nittany Lions, Penn State retains a deep Class of 2022. As it stands, the Nittany Lions hold the No. 3 class in the nation and the best class in the Big Ten, according to 247Sports. The class is headlined by top-ranked quarterback Drew Allar and top-ranked running back Nicholas Singleton.
