Man Accused Of Assaulting Penn State Students At Beaver Stadium White Out
University of Delaware running back Liam Kirk is facing charges after allegedly assaulting five Penn State students at Beaver Stadium’s White Out game on September 18, according to the Centre Daily Times.
Kirk, 20, is accused of groping three women in the student section, where he wasn’t permitted to be as a guest. He allegedly hit another woman in the head and elbowed another in the temple.
Shortly after the game against Auburn, Penn State released a Timely Warning notice surrounding the incident. It’s since been linked to Kirk, according to University Park police.
According to an affidavit obtained by the Centre Daily Times on Monday, Kirk was “heavily intoxicated” at the game. Court documents say he faces three counts of indecent assault, one count of disorderly conduct, two counts of harassment, and one count of public drunkenness.
Kirk has been suspended from the Blue Hens team until further notice, according to a university spokesperson. The Valley Forge native is still listed on the team’s active roster.
Kirk’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for November 24.
