Tariq Castro-Fields Accepts Senior Bowl Invite

Penn State defensive back Tariq Castro-Fields is the latest Nittany Lion to accept an invitation to this year’s Reese’s Senior Bowl.

Castro-Fields is the fifth Penn State player to accept a bid to this year’s game. He’ll join Jahan Dotson, Jaquan Brisker, Arnold Ebiketie, and Jesse Luketa on the sidelines in Mobile, Alabama.

So far this year, Castro-Fields is enjoying a bounce-back effort following an injury-marred 2020 season. In 10 games this year, the fifth-year cornerback has racked up 28 total tackles and six pass deflections. Over his career, Castro-Fields has contributed 134 total tackles, 28 pass deflections, three interceptions, a sack, and a forced fumble.

As his Penn State tenure comes to a close, Castro-Fields should use the Senior Bowl as an opportunity to boost his NFL Draft stock. The annual game will give veteran college football players a chance to show off in front of NFL scouts and executives on February 5, 2022.
