Penn State Celebrates #GivingTuesday November 30

Penn State will participate in its seventh #GivingTuesday on Tuesday, November 30. The global event celebrates giving back, and this year’s campaign at Penn State will feature more than 140 campaigns to support scholarships, research ventures, student programs, and more.

Like in years past, gifts made on #GivingTuesday will aid the “Greater Penn State for 21st Century Excellence,” which centers on Penn State’s ability to support students regardless of financial status and create experiences that go beyond the classroom.

Supporters can create a personal fundraising page to benefit any active #GivingTuesday campaign. Graduates of the last decade (GOLD) who make a gift of five dollars or more to a campaign will receive a 1:1 match from the university for up to $100.

Students groups will be celebrating GivingTuesday efforts, and Penn State’s Student Philanthropy Network will return to the HUB this year to host an in-person event to promote more than 39 student-led campaigns fundraising at University Park.

Additionally, THON will also participate in the #GivingTuesday action. The organization is encouraging folks to donate to its 2022 fundraising campaign, and Johnson & Johnson will go up to $40,000 of funds for matching.
