Wi-Fi Outage Knocks Out Internet Across Penn State

Update, 11 a.m.: Penn State says most of its Wi-Fi connections have been restored and are slowly coming back online.

The university’s IT department said it’ll continue monitoring the situation as internet connections coming back online.

A Wi-Fi outage across all campuses struck Penn State’s network Friday morning, knocking out on-campus internet access for thousands of Penn State students, faculty, and staff.

According to Penn State, the outage began at about 7:45 a.m. Penn State IT staff are investigating the incident and supplying updates on the outage through the university’s dedicated service status website.

Penn State said it will provide more information on the outage once the issue is resolved.
