Penn State Men’s Hockey Signs Forward Dylan Lugris To 2021-22 Roster
Penn State men’s hockey has added freshman forward Dylan Lugris to its roster for the remainder of the 2021-22 season. He’ll link up with the Nittany Lions before their New Year’s series against Maine next week.
Before signing with the Nittany Lions, Lugris played just under two seasons for the Jersey Hitmen in the National Collegiate Development Conference of the United States Premier Hockey League. During his time with the Hitmen, Lugris led the Hitmen in 2020-21 to a Founders Cup Championship — their third straight. Lugris compiled 36 points off of 13 goals and 23 games for the Hitmen during the 2021-22 season.
“It’s always been a dream of mine to play at Penn State,” Lugris told Penn State. “Not only is their hockey program second to none, but the academics are also spectacular. I couldn’t be more excited to wear the blue and white.”
A native of Buffalo, N.Y., Lugris played his preparatory hockey career at Nichols School in his hometown. He served as an alternate captain and a captain during his senior season.
