Tim Frazier Signs 10-Day Contract With NBA’s Orlando Magic

Tim Frazier is making a return to the association, folks.

The Penn State hoops legend signed a 10-day deal with the Orlando Magic Tuesday morning. Amid rising COVID-19 cases sweeping the NBA, the Magic inked the journeyman guard while five players are currently unavailable.

Last season, Frazier signed two 10-day contracts with the Memphis Grizzlies, with the first coming in January. After only making three appearances, the point guard was waived but re-signed with the team in April on another deal, which lasted for the remainder of the regular-season campaign.

Orlando marks Frazier’s sixth stop in his eight-year professional career. In total, the veteran has played in 277 regular-season matchups, marked by 81 starts, while posting 5.0 points, 4.0 assists, and 2.3 rebounds per game.

Prior to his lengthy stint in the NBA, Frazier initially splashed in the G-League, where he won the Most Valuable Player and Rookie of the Year honors in 2014-15 upon entering as an undrafted free agent.

For the Magic, Frazier will likely hit the floor from the get-go, with seven players currently listed as out or day-to-day on the team’s injury report.
