Your Best Penn State Holiday Decorations
As the holidays arrive, Penn Staters proudly decorate their homes in blue and white to ring in the season and celebrate with pride. Naturally, they’re proud of showing ’em off, too.
Last week, we asked you to send us your favorites, and you didn’t disappoint. Here’s a sampling of our favorite submissions this time around.
Penn State Santa
Although he normally wears red, jolly ol’ Santa Claus truly does bleed blue and white. This inflatable is decked out in Penn State apparel to transform a neighborhood’s scenery, providing a well-done touch of Nittany Lions pride for all to see.
Blue & White Ceramics Shelf
The North Pole loves Penn State. Santa is again showing his love for the blue and white. So are Mrs. Claus, a snowman, some elves, and more.
Student Section Ornament
This ornament is a fantastic embodiment of the student section at Beaver Stadium. The detail is impressive thanks to the inclusion of shakers, students lined up in alphabetical order spelling out “STATE,” and the press box in the background.
“I saw a Facebook post that had an ornament with Joe, and that made me Google Penn State ornaments,” said Chris Sweitzer. “I found these and ordered them immediately.”
Penn State-Themed Christmas Tree
“Both of my children are now at Penn State. I started to make Christmas decorations during the pandemic, and once my second daughter got into Penn State, I continued at a more frantic pace,” said Suzanne Loftus. “Now, I have over 50 handmade needlepoint ornaments on a 10-foot tree, along with some my daughter made in the woodshop at college and others picked up while visiting Penn State.”
A Legendary Football Ornament
Who could ever forget such a monumental game in Penn State football history?
“This is a simple ornament that displays one of the most important final scores in recent memory,” said Brandon Uhlig. “It brings a smile to the face of this ’99 alum every year!”
Penn State Ornament Shelf
There’s nothing quite like a display dedicated entirely to Penn State ornaments.
“My mom would get me an ornament each year for Christmas,” said Jenna Vaughn. “She passed away in 2020.”
