UPUA Funds Ally House Drag Show & Art Fundraiser

The 16th Assembly of the University Park Undergraduate Association met once again Wednesday night.

The evening kicked off with a special presentation from Mike Stefan on behalf of the Office of Government and Community Relations. Then, UPUA President Erin Boas and Vice President Najee Rodriguez gave their own reports before moving on to new business.

New Business

The first item on the agenda confirmed new Smeal College of Business representative Ryan Setezenfand. Moments later, he was officially sworn in.

Next, the assembly moved on to the election of the Chair for Academic Affairs. The previous chair, Lewis Richardson, stepped down at the beginning of the semester. Representative Patricia Birungi was elected and will take over the position for the rest of the semester.

Next on the agenda was Bill #22-16, which proposed providing funding for Ally House’s Drag Show and Art Fundraiser. The bill would cover half of the event’s reservation cost at 3 Dots Downtown. The bill passed 32-0-1.

The final item on the agenda was Resolution #22-16, which focused on establishing Financing for the Future Week. The resolution passed unanimously.

The assembly adjourned at 9:01 p.m.
